The final Elise Cup 250 rolled off the assembly line. The last Elise, of course, is a special one. This Cup 250 is finished in the bright, luminous livery used on the Lotus Indy 500 cars from 1966 to 1969.

The personalized Lotus was made for a passionate Lotus collector, who also owns an Elise Sport 190 with carbon bodywork. We will see these personalized Lotus more and more thanks to the new Lotus Advanced Performance division. Part of the team was of course at the handover of the last Elise.

The Elise was produced from 1996 to 2022 and rolled off the production line in many different versions. It was without doubt one of the most important and successful Lotus cars produced. As well as a huge number of different editions and special editions, it also provided the basis for cars from other brands such as the Hennesey Venom, Tesla Roadster, Vauxhall VX220 and many more. Fortunately, around 35,000 Lotus Elise cars have been produced worldwide, so we will continue to see them on the road and at events for a long time to come. Lotus Cars will now focus on the production of the electric Evija, the Emira with its Supercharged V6 (and soon also with a Turbocharged I4). And of course their new SUV (the Type 132) which will be launched on 29 March 2022.
