The team at Adamas Motors, the Lotus dealer in the United Arab Emirates, has organised a fantastic customer event and has subsequently announced the launch of a new owners' club in the region. The Lotus Parade UAE is set to become an annual event as the brand launches new models such as the Emira sports car and the upcoming Type 132 in the country.
With around 70 participants and 40 Lotus cars, it was certainly a success. The parade started at the Lotus showroom in Abu Dhabi, and headed north on the beautiful and winding roads of the Jebel Jais mountain. The final destination was in the mountains at 1,484 metres above sea level. There the participants enjoyed dinner at 1484 by Puro, which is also the highest restaurant in all seven emirates.
The route itself was no less than 300km long and here the participants could enjoy the most beautiful landscapes of the UAE. Many participants also received a sticker on their door specially made for this event. This was a great way to advertise the event for future editions.
CEO of Adamas Motors and co-organiser of the event, also said it was his best month in terms of new Lotus car sales since August 2018. Quoting, "The customers are the core of this brand and it is their passion that keeps Lotus Cars UAE running. The introduction of the Lotus Owners' Club is our way of saying thank you to the customers who share the automotive lifestyle culture and beyond."
Also present was Parade organiser Akshay Dawra, Marketing Manager at Adamas Motors; "We have set up this event as a great way to start the New Year and we want it to take place every January".
Representing Lotus was Dan Balmer, Regional Director for Asia Pacific and Middle East, who commented: “What a fantastic event! It was great to meet so many passionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lotus owners, and a wonderful opportunity to share details of the exciting year that 2022 is going to be for our brand.”
He added: “The feedback during the day and afterwards has been 100% positive, so all credit to Karl, Akshay and the entire Adamas Motors team for making this happen. The best way to understand what Lotus is about is to get out on the open road and we certainly did that.”
